Greater
Manchester Humanists meet in Manchester and Stockport to hear talks, to chat,
debate and think about moral and current issues from a non-religious
perspective. Our meetings are open to
all. There are startup groups in Oldham, Bolton, Blackburn, Buxton, Macclesfield and Altrincham.
Greater
Manchester Humanists was founded in 1992. We are a partner of the British
Humanist Association and affiliated to the National Secular Society. See the Contact tab for meeting details.
Stockport
Humanists was set up in 2010 and in 2016 become a partner group of the BHA. See the Contact tab for meeting details.
We
organise and are involved with many other events, including regular
Amble-Rambles, debates with religious organisations and local community events. We have a choir. From time to time we hold an Introductory Course on Humanism - normally running
over six evenings. Both groups produce
monthly newsletters.
